!!!Convert the world's natural production of oxygen into a world commodity!!! |
| How Would that Work? |
First we need to understand that with the advent of sophisticated earth satellites, we can accurately determine exactly where and how the natural production of Oxygen is being produced; via Rain Forests; plankton and algae in the World's oceans and other natural occurring plants. Next, we have to understand why Rain Forests are being cut down. It's all about economics. Oddly, while the world pays for lumber produced by Rain Forests it does not pay for the Oxygen it produces. |
| So, the answer is simple. We must make Oxygen production via Rain Forests a Commodity. A commodity, just like corn, wheat or lumber. |
| Who Would Pay? |
| Again just like any other commodity, the consumers. Consumers in this case does not mean the oxygen consumed by our breathing. We are focused on the big consumers, the burning of fossilized fuels such as gas, coal and oil are far and away the largest consumers of oxygen and producers of carbon dioxide.. |
| Would These Large Consumers Be Taxed? |
| Yes, probably the best way would be to put a relatively small tax on each barrel of crude oil produced and each metric ton of coal mined. |
| How Much Would This Tax Be? |
This figure is yet to be determined. In preliminary studies, it is likely to be in the range of $1 USD to $2 USD per barrel of crude oil and $2 USD to $4 USD per metric ton of coal. |
| Who Would Receive the Tax? |
| Through organizations such as the World Health Organization, a World Oxygen Bank would be set up to collect and distribute the funds. |
| To Whom Would These Funds Be Distributed.? |
Directly to individual land owners of the Rain Forests. Similiar to farmers in any country who produces crops, grain, etc. The farmer's main production in this case would be Oxygen and whatever other products that could be gleaned without damaging or cutting down the forest. |
| Who Benefits? |
We all benefit. But, directly the indivudual landowner, who presently is barely scraching out a living will benefit. Through this program these farmer/peasents will now have a new and continual source of income. This could have a profound effect on Third World countries. As we all know, the world and its inhabitants are much better off with increased tree growth. We probably all know from grade school that trees consume carbon dioxide and produce oxygen. It is this natural interaction which has made this planet healthy for millions of years. Forestation protects against soil erosion, not to mention cures for many diseases are found from trees, and likely many more will be found. |
| What Can 'You' Do To Help? |
You could do the normal things like - Sending a letter to your Member of Congress, Senator, or Government representative - but frankly, that's not working very well. Perhaps a more practial approach is to buy products which are taken directly from the rain-forests of Brazil other than lumber of course. The recent discovery of the Acai Berry in the Amazon is producing such strong new revenues that through our consumption of the Acai Berry will go far in creating a local Amazon economy that will stop senseless hacking of the treasures found, and to be found, in the Amazon rainforsts. |
By purchasing products that use the Acai Berry will go far in helping to protect the Amazon rain forests. One product which is now available here in the U.S. is the 'super-juice' - Monavie. Click here to read more about this product, |
| One Last Question - Who is Marvin Marshall? | |
| Marvin E. Marshall is the inventor of the technology that makes prepaid phone cards and prepaid cellular phones work. He has three U.S. patents to his name for this pioneeriing invention. Not only did this invention spawn a now 8 billion dollar annual industry, but through this technology the FBI and many law enforcement agencies have tracked down criminals including the infamous Oklahoma City bomber - Timothy McVeigh. |
|
Marvin E. Marshall was born in Marshall, Michigan and lived on Marshall Street before moving to a small beef farm when he was 4 years old. Marvin graduated from High School at age 16 and left home with $1.65 in his pocket. He hitch-hitched through 43 states in the next two years ending up in Pierre, SD for 10 years where he help build the world's largest rolled-earth dam, sold farm machinery, was a cop, did custom farming and built a 9 state franchise of tractor weights. |
